Its chocolate egg time off timez! (Easter)

Its the start of the Easter holidays, and I have plenty I want to do indeed! I should be uploading a lot of new work I found recently through "stumble"

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/138

I also have some of my own self driven work that I would like to get on with and start to upload, further plans to do with post Easter will be posted on here later, as I still need to get my head around it all.

Music in the Mountains

We were recently given a one day brief to design a logo for a Spanish music festival called "music in the mountains" This is the resolved design, in the A3 presentation sheet, I displayed a series of variations of colour.

Types of Type.

Heres a couple of bits of type I have found over the last few days.

I really like this style of type, although its become very mainstream, and a bit of a design cliche.

I really like this serif typeface, it does have that sense of tradition, and gives a feeling of exploration and experience.

I got given some new cow patterned tumblers recently. They came in this interesting packaging (shaped like a milk carton) I really like the type, it has a feel of milk and cows!

I thought this was a really nice typeface for a packet of crisps. walkers should pay attention!

James joyce.

I like this work. really strong colour, simple shapes, instant impact.

Guilherme Marconi

I really like this guy's work. He's a brazilian designer, and you can tell by the really bold colours. I like the way the images are constructed to look really intricate with the use of some really simple vectors.

City ID

I found an interesting website about a design studio that deals with directive graphics.

Theres not much on the website but if you download the PDF there are cool examples of their work...
